Hi, we’re Lamar and Laticia Steiner.

We have been in and around hospitality for more than seven years and more recently have been actively working in hospitality at Tranquil Acres Cabins, owned by Lamar’s Parents, Jesse & Dorothy Steiner.

We’ve been married since 2013. Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to go on numerous trips and stayed in many wonderful hospitality establishments, and have tried to bring some of the touches from those places to our cabin.

We are thrilled to offer you our own space to help you create memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

We look forward to hosting you on your next stay here in Holmes County, Ohio.

After much deliberation about what we should name our cabin, we settled on the name “Cayo Cabin” as a nod to Laticia’s Family Heritage.

Laticia’s Father, Mark was born in the district of Cayo, Belize C.A. when it was still British Honduras, and was subsequently adopted by an Amish woman and through a long and winding chain of events, ended up here, in Holmes County, Ohio.

In February 2018, we as a family had the privilege of traveling to Belize to see the beautiful area where he was born, meet many fascinating people, and had the opportunity to experience the culture for a brief moment.

For us, it was a impactful trip and when we thought of coming up with a name for our little cabin, our trip to Belize came to the forefront of our minds.

The Cayo Cabin was built by the skilled craftsmen at Weaver Barns, Sugarcreek Ohio.
